This unique ceramic "Fragile Baby" was created by artist Patti Warashina and decorated by Florida artist Michelle Bunker, who has OI. Made especially for the OI Foundation, this baby stands 24" tall.

Michelle writes, " . . . I wanted to depict what it is like for anyone with OI to grow up with labels that are constantly placed upon us."

"The front of the body presents the viewer with positive qualities that children with OI are known to possess. They are written in warm colors, representing the inviting nature of the labels."

"On the back of the piece, however, written in a cold color scheme, are all of the things that people might say about a child with OI behind their back."
