That's a good start, but there are a lot of things you have to do before you become a vet. You can ask Dr. Heidi Hulon-Shipman, at Buckner Animal Clinic, all about it as you spend time with her in her clinic!
Pet owners are familiar with small animal practitioners. These veterinarians are skilled in medicine and surgery. They apply their skills to maintain the health and well-being of individual pets. But, vets can work with exotic animals like in a zoo, or large animals like in a horse park.

This item is for a two-hour job shadowing experience that will be followed by lunch and more talk.
Children must be 12 years of age or older to participate. A chaperone is recommended for children between the ages of 12-18. This job shadowing experience is good through January 1, 2009.
