The 1968-1969 New York Jets, led by quarterback Joe Namath, defeated Johnny Unitas' favored Baltimore Colts team in Super Bowl III. Along with star wide receiver Don Maynard, who played injured in the game, the Jets would pull off a 16-7 victory in Miami.
