Description

This simple and elegant shot of two people at the Great Wall was most likely taken sometime in the 1920s by Nina Gage. The exact location of the photo is unknown. The photo is a reproduction from Gage's personal collection. Nina Gage headed the Yale-China Association's (then Yale-in-China) nursing education and care program at the Hsiang-ya School of Nursing from 1909-1926. Nursing was recognized as a special priority for the Yale-China Association's early health work in Hunan province as nursing had no professional precedents in Chinese society at that time. Today, Yale-China has many programs in the area of public health and nursing and continues to work closely with Hsiang-ya (now Xiangya). The photograph is a 10"x6" black and white image. Photograph comes with a custom-cut white mat for an 11"x14" frame. Frame not included.

Please note: This is a reproduction of a very old photograph and therefore there is a small bit of irregularity in the photo. We would suggest that only adds to its beauty.
