Location: Near Fudan University, restaurants and stores; close to bus stop, 20 minute walk to Metro. This was Fudan faculty housing before it was privatized; the neighborhood retains the atmosphere of an academic community.
Description: Suitable for a single person or couple. Apartment includes one large room with standard double bed, one small room with single bed (suitable as a study), small kitchen with appliances, and a small bathroom. Apartment is on the fourth floor of an apartment building, is air-conditioned, has hardwood floors, and is fully furnished.
The winning bidder will not incur additional costs for utilities; therefore, bids should take into consideration utility costs (estimated to be U.S. $100 per month including air-conditioning). The occupant will pay the donor (a retired Fudan professor) a damage deposit of US $200 upon moving in, which is refundable upon moving out.

Please note that the occupant must be approved by the apartment's owner. Winning bidder should send a brief bio of the occupant (who may or may not be the bidder himself), along with his/her/their reasons for being in Shanghai, to the owner, along with their desired dates of occupancy. Bid will be refunded in the event the occupant is rejected by the apartment's owner.
