Long-sleeved deep blue robe with gold threaded embroidery, black sleeves and black banding with gold on overlap of robe. Time period or origin is unknown. Gold threaded wave designs around the bottom of the robe. Robe has six frog closures, not all of which are working. As with any older textile, it shows the signs of age. Overall condition is not top, as several gold threads have pulled out, and the silk is torn or has come unstitched at some of the seams. Still it is a beautiful thing because of color, texture, and design and would look beautiful displayed under a glass table or on a wall, hanging from bamboo.
