Russian River Get-a-ways has donated a Two (2) Night Stay at Montsegur House, a lovely architect-designed, hilltop home in the woods near Guerneville. Very secluded amid forest as well as landscaped grounds, tranquility reigns at Montsegur. Beautifully detailed and beautifully furnished, this home will satisfy the discriminating guest.

The open L-shaped living/dining/kitchen first floor of Montgegur (which means "safe mountain") is compact, comfortable, and cozy for four guests, and features a wood-stove and forest views. The full kitchen has every amenity, even a trash compactor. Montsegur even has a garage with remote control that allows dry entrance into the garage and home in any weather. There is also a luxurious bath with double shower, as well as an upstairs bath with tub and shower combination. Both bedrooms are upstairs and have queen beds, each with the feeling of being in a tower sanctuary.

The home features a spacious deck with unheated swimming pool (20'x8'x5') and loungers. This deck, including a tiny landscaped area, is fenced and secure for dogs. In the rear of the home is more decking with gas grill, patio dining, and four-person hot tub. Montsegur is just a ten minute walk down to downtown Guerneville, Johnson's Beach, restaurants, bars, and shops.

Also included in this get-a-way package is a dining gift certificate for two 3-Course Dinners at the incomparable Cyrus Restaurant in nearby Healdsburg, the very heart of Sonoma wine country. This intimate elegant restaurant is nestled just off the square in the new boutique Les Mars Hotel.

Chef Douglas Keane (Rising Star Chef SF Chronicle 2002) and Maitre d' Nick Peyton (“the god father of white tablecloth dining” SF Chronicle 5/2/2003) offer their contemporary luxury cuisine in a completely flexible prix fixe format of three to five dishes selected from any section of the menu. Sommelier Jim Rollston has assembled an extensive list of world class wines with a special focus on Sonoma appellations. The arched and vaulted dining room welcomes guests to elegant tables set with fine linens, crystal, china and silver. Guests are greeted warmly as they enter the bar while a myriad of special touches await them at the table. Warm canapés arrive to be enjoyed with a cocktail list or glass of bubbly served tableside from champagne and cavier cart. An amuse bouche is served as an extra small course to begin the meal.
