Description

This beautiful shadow box filled with handmade origami paper cranes was inspired by the book "Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes" by Eleanor Coerr. The Primary 1 Class read this book as a group and the children were truly inspired by it.

The story is about a young Japanese girl that gets diagnosed with Leukemia after the bombing of Hiroshima. According to a Japanese legend, if you make a wish and write that wish inside of a thousand paper cranes, it will come true.

This touching story prompted the children to make their own wishes for world peace and display them for all the world to see, in this beautiful shadow box.

This lovely piece of artwork is sure to be a conversation starter in any location you choose to display it.

Accompaning the shadow box is a hard back copy of "Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes". And just to make it extra special, each child has signed the inside cover.

This is a Live Event Item.
