Description
Bid on this beautiful Sarah's Hope pendant and support a mission!
Sarah Smith is a Mennonite minister from Middleton, Wisconsin. She is working with a jewelry designer to sell unique pieces of jewelry and use the profits to give women in third world countries small loans to help them educate their children, start a business for income purposes, or simply to feed their families. Each design is named after the woman who received the loan.
You are bidding on the design called "Razia". Razia lost her husband and had no income to provide for her children. She used all her savings to buy two sewing machines and was trying to make and sell clothing to bring in an income but found that the fabrics were too costly and her profit margin was not large enough to provide much income for her. Pastor Sarah's organization, Sarah's Hope, gave Razia a $100 loan. Razia was able to purchase a large quantity of fabric for less money and began making a profit. Her business grew to the point where she has hired five more women to sew for her!
The jewelry is sterling silver, a variety of beautiful stones, every stone is different. Sarah's Hope Jewelry includes pendants, earrings, bracelets, and rings.
