Enjoy an Author's lunch and wine tasting created by Jonathan Alsop at the Eastern Standard (Kenmore Square) in their private dinning room for you and six of your closest friends. The author's will include Mitchell Zuckoff, Jonathon Alsop and Lou Ureneck and the lunch will take place in a private room in the back of Eastern Standard. Mitchell Zuckoff's book, Ponzi's Scheme is the amazing true story of the irresistible scoundrel who launched the most successful scheme of financial alchemy in modern history - and uttered the first roar of the Roaring Twenties. Zuckoff is a professor of journalism at Boston University, where he is the co-director of the BU narrative and investigative reporting program. Jonathon Alsop is a wine writer covering wine, food, and travel since 1988. He is author of the wine column "In Vino Veritas" as well as many articles for the Associated Press, Frequent Flyer, La Vie Claire, Beverage Business Magazine, Mobil Travel Guides, Fodor's Travel Guides, Boston Globe, and others. Lou Ureneck has broad experience as a print and online journalist. He was the deputy managing editor of The Philadelphia Inquirer, in charge of the Inquirer's front page and nightly news operation. Before joining the Inquirer, he was the editor and vice president of The Portland (Maine) Press Herald, which, under his leadership, developed into one of the best medium-size newspapers in the country.
