Madame Alexander,began making "red cross' dolls on the kitchen table of her apartment in the Lower East Side of New York in 1923.  Since that time her creations have delighted thousands of girls both young and old.  This doll, in immaculate condition is in its original box with the authenticity tag.  It is one of the international series and is dressed in an "authentic" costume native to the former Yugoslavia, series # 580.  The doll is the typical Madame Alexander size, 8 inches.
