Description

Smadar Livne is recognized as one of today's leader artists in Jewish Art. Her artwork is an unusual technique of mixed media on canvas (acrylic on canvas), fiber sculpture, fiber art, fiber wall hanging, custom wall hanging art, handmade fabric collage (custom tapestry collage art), Kabbalah art, Synagogue Art and wall sculpture. Smadar Livne work is definitely an accomplishment in Synagogue, Jewish and Israeli Art.

In the studio she conducts a combined team which includes her husband and two- three assistants who help and are apart in the construction of the artwork. An abundant amount of the inspiration that is perceived by the artist is currently enforced by R. Agyof and E. B. Hazan, who both have studied the Jewish philosophy and Kabalistic heritage. With this unique process their teamwork is combined to embellish the artwork on canvas portraying the view of the artist's beliefs. Each of these pieces commit to a story of the biblical past of the Judaic history, which are exemplified by poems researched by the whole ensemble that periodically change throughout the years. The artwork has a strong impact and creates inspiration.
