This first edition (1952) 54 volume set of the Great Books of the Western World will be difficult for a booklover to resist, especially at the price.  The current edition of Great Books lists for $995.  This set, while not new, was hardly used.  This is your chance to own it.  It means that you can wake up at 3 AM  pour yourself a little Courvoisier and settle down with Flaubert or Dickens or Homer.  The world may be topsy-turvy but Mark Twain or, perhaps, Lewis Carroll will put in in perspective.  irresistible!
