The lucky winning bidder will get to join the Northland's News Center's chief meteorologist Karl Spring for a live show and help with the live weather forecast! Also includes a tour of the station. A unique experience you won't forget! Minimum age 10; no maximum age!! Mutual date to be arranged. Get your chance in the spotlight with Karl, see the weather garden, and tell the viewers just how cold it's going to be!

Karl Spring is a Minnesota native, growing up in Hopkins. He and his wife, Jeanne have four children; Kal, Kacey, Karly and Gunnar. And, a little dog with a big heart, "Lucky."
Karl first worked in the Northland in 1987, when he was the weekend weather caster at KDLH-TV. After that, he worked in several TV markets, including Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where he met Jeanne, who was the main female news anchor at KDLT-TV, where Karl forecasted weekend weather. They worked in TV news together in many cities, eventually moving back to Minnesota.
Karl graduated from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, and continued his meteorological studies, earning his American Meteorological Society and National Weather Association television seals of approval.
Karl and his family are lifelong Twins, Vikings, Wild (and North Stars) and Timberwolves fans. He coaches youth baseball, softball and hockey teams, and has taught weather and read books to thousands of students over his career.
Karl and his family are members of First Lutheran Church in Duluth, and he is also a member of Kiwanis of Friendly Duluth.
