The famous Powell Street Cable Car stops just two blocks away, and public transportation on the Bay Area Rapid Transit system is nearby.
Stay Nov 7-14, 2007 in a one bed (queen-size) hotel room with a queen-size sofa bed in the living room unit (sleeps a max of 4). Hotel amenities include cable TV, VCR/DVD player, stereo with CD player, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker and fitness room, laundry room, lobby with fireplace and internet (fee applies).

"Union Square .. the mother lode of shopping is within walking distance of the WM property. Most of the stores there are your usual department stores - and you can most probably see the same stores in your hometown. But there's something special about Union Square just the same. Don't forget to venture off the square - there are great shops all around on the surrounding streets.
For more trendy botique style shopping - try Union Street, near Golden Gate Park. Lots of cute little shops all along the street and street parking is pretty easy to find
mid-week. If you have a car, go across the Golden Gate Bridge and check out Sausalito. Cute shopping areas and art studios there also.
On Tuesdays, there's a Farmer's market and art show near Fisherman's Wharf on the pier. Lots of open air markets and stalls. They also have an antiques show and sale in the same location on another day of the week - but I cannot recall the specific day at the moment."
