Summer and Surfing. Start the summer with a half-day session at JP's Surf Camp in San Clemente or Carlsbad. This semi-private surf camp specializes in small group instruction where surfing is taught in a safe, well-staffed, instructional environment. All instructors are CPR and first aid certified and maintain a 3-to-1 instructor to student ratio.  JP's Surf Camp's mission is to "teach development in the sport of surfing in a positive, uplifting manner so that all participants develop a love and respect for the sport of surfing and our oceans".
