Description
The 2002 Clarendon Hills Syrah "Mantz Vineyard" (Australia), 1999 Penfolds RWT Shiraz Baressa Valley (Australia) and 1999 Castelgiocondo Riserva Brunello di Montalcino are three superior reds from top vineyards on two continents. Parker rates the Moritz Syrah a 95, with aging potential of 15 years or more. The Brunello has a 97 rating from the Wine Spectator, which describes it as "layers and layers of ripe fruit, with everything in beautiful proportion." Penfolds is Australia's best known winery and the RWT from 1999 has a 94 rating from Wine Spectator, which calls it an "aristocraatic red, as the flavor sails on and on." These wines can all benefit from more age, so they're keepers!
Special Instructions
These wines have been provided by private collectors who are parents and friends of Sage Hill School. The wines have been kept in temperature-controlled conditions since their acquisition, but in some cases that acquisition has been from other collectors, auctions and retailers. In addition, as wines age, bottle variation can occur, causing some bottles to age poorly. Neither Sage Hill School nor the donors of these wines can provide assurance of their current or future drinkability. Purchaser is acquiring these wines at their own risk
