Description

Some question the pricing of the so-called "cult" wines of California. The 2003 Harlan Estate Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2001 Colgin Herb Lamb Vineyard, demonstrate why these wines are in such demand.  Harlan is compared by some to Chateau Mouton Rothschild- only better!  Ranked 95 by Parker, he describes the 2003 as 'supple in texture, low acid, gorgeous purity."   Only 360 cases of Colgin were produced and described by Parker as "sweet tannins, a beautiful texture and superb purity in this stunning cabernet."  Parker also gave this wine a 95 rating, reserved for the top wines in the world!

Special Instructions

These wines have been provided by private collectors who are parents and friends of Sage Hill School.  The wines have been kept in temperature-controlled conditions since their acquisition, but in some cases that acquisition has been from other collectors, auctions and retailers.  In addition, as wines age, bottle variation can occur, causing some bottles to age poorly.  Neither Sage Hill School nor the donors of these wines can provide assurance of their current or future drinkability.  Purchaser is acquiring these wines at their own risk.
