A beautiful, very special and unique mezzuzah for your home or as a gift!
This is a hand-blown glass mezzuzah in a space shuttle design - a replica of the very mezzuzahh taken up to space by Jewish astronaut Jeffrey Hoffman. The piece is by artist Shirley Kagen with dimensions 1-1/2" X 1" X 5".
Special Instructions
In 1985, Jeffrey Hoffman was the first Jewish astronaut on the Discovery II mission. He took with him four mezuzah including one designed by Shirley Kagan which was hand blown in Israel out of translucent gold and is reminiscent of the receptacle in which the Dead Sea Scrolls were found in Qumran in the Judean Desert.
