Situated in Oakville within California's Napa Valley, Opus One Winery was founded in 1979 as a joint venture between Robert Mondavi and Baron Philippe de Rothschild. The wine is a collectible, Bordeaux-style blend that commands some of the highest prices in the Napa Valley. The winemaking uses a mix of traditional and contemporary techniques such as hand-sorting and fermenting in stainless steel fermentation tanks.
