Description
Explorers Welcome!
Like a time machine, the Harvard Museum of Natural History takes you back to see the origins of life on our planet and hits at what might unfold in the decades and centuries ahead. Adults and children alike can satisfy their curiosity for insights from experts, naturalists, and artists who help us interpret the past, live more aware of the present, and imagine the future.
The Harvard Museum of Natural History is the only place in New England where you'll find millions of specimens, including:
- the 6 million year old shell of Stypendymus geographicus, the "astonishing turtle," over seven feet long.
- a 1,542-pound amethyst geode discovered in Brazil
- the Ware Collection of Glass Flowers, more than 3,000 models-so lifelike you might believe they're real
- the skeleton of a 42-foot long, 135 million year old Kronosaurus, with teeth the size of bananas.
This is a Live Event Item.
