"The Bruising represents the serpent after its head had been crushed by the foot of Jesus. In the movie, 'The Passion of the Christ', Jesus symbolized the bruising of the head of satan by killing the serpent with the heel of His foot. This sculpture is made of 258 pieces of steel making the body of the snake and two pieces for the base for a total of 260 individual pieces. Made of carbon steel which will rust outdoors but each weld is stainless steel which will continue to give it texture and movement throughout the years."
