This is far and away the best place to stash visiting rellies on the Upper West Side. Isaac's grandma and grandpa from London always stay here on their independent visits and both love the place (and let's face it, they haven't agreed on a whole lot since 1973). Grandma considers it a far better deal than the more famous terracotta-clad hotel nearby that she used to stay in and loves the 24-hour coffee-shop room service and 24-hour Fairway shopping across the street--ideal amenities for the jet-lagged and the whitefish fancier alike. Grandpa loves the nearby gym access (and the 24-hour whitefish access, too). Both praise the kitchenettes attached to each room, the cleanliness, and the views. It's also convenient to Lincoln Center and the Natural History Museum. Or leave the rellies and kids in your place and just bolt to the Beacon for the weekend. Stash the mini fridge with whitefish and a few bagels from across the street (wine and chocs are included in the package here) and you're set.
