Talk about popular!  Your child can be Head of the Class for the day....maybe decide to declare free dress day for his/her grade....perhaps suggest less (or no!) homework....and certainly make sure there's a party!  It's an ice cream party for the whole class with all the trimmings.  And we're positive it will make the other grades (and teachers!) completely envious!
