Pattie Porter Firestone, the President of the Washington Sculptors Group, has invited 10 children to join her on a private tour of the Sylvia Katzen Sculpture Garden at American University.  On Friday afternoon, September 14, ten lucky children (1st Grade and older) will enjoy a picnic lunch and walk over to the Katzen to meet Ms. Firestone.  She'll talk about the works and other sculptors will come to speak about their pieces and inspirations.  The students will complete a simple art project while there.  Noted Professor of Landscape Architecture at Harvard University, John Beardsley, is the curator.  An educational and fun afternoon for your children!  Please note:  Parents are welcome and encouraged to join this event!
