This is ideal for kids and adults!  Since school is closed on Monday, April 30, this is the perfect day to offer our first pottery painting class.  NPS owns a kiln (thanks to the 2002 Auction) which we will use to fire each piece.  The group will meet in the After 3 Club room at 10 a.m. to glaze their bisque pottery and then we will load up the kiln located in the next room.  A selection of fresh bagels from Einstein Bagels will be provided upon arrival to get the creative waves flowing.  Upbeat music will be played to keep the atmosphere fun and inspiring.  Kids will paint their very own piece of pottery selected for the group, plus we'll help each participant select the paint colors.  The children will then design their own piece as they wish using stencils, stamps, sponges or their own hand print.  Several samples will be available as well as pictures to inspire ideas.  At the end of the week, your child's creation will be labeled for pick-up at the front desk.  Perhaps just in time for Mother's Day?
