On Saturday evening, October 20, 2007, you are invited to attend an evening with Scott Nolley, an objects and painting conservator, at the home of his sister and NPS Parent, Catherine Triantis. Scott, Chief Conservator of the Fine Art Conservation of Virginia, will fascinate you with the process of and his professional experiences in restoring precious art work all over the world. An experienced and entertaining speaker, he'll include interesting anecdotes of repairing these treasures and transporting art worth millions. Scott has worked at the Nelson Atkins Museum in Kansas City, The Smithsonian Institute, as well as onsite projects with The Astoria Column restoration in Astoria, Oregon, and preservation work on the cave paintings at Pictograph Cave in Billings, Montana. Scott also spent five years as the Conservator of Painting and Objects for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. To compliment his experience there, the Triantis' will provide a traditional Williamsburg dinner for the attendees.
