He began teaching wine courses as the Sommelier d'Hotel at the Ritz-Carlton in NYC and in Palm Beach. Cavenaugh was named by Sante Magazine as one of the top Wine and Food executives in the hospitality industry, and his wine lists were twice honored with Wine Spectator's Best of Award of Excellence.
