"The English countryside would not be as glorious as it is were it not for little cottages like this one, so called because of the roses cascading around the front porch and creeping across the windows. Imagine the fragrance as one approached the heavy oak front door, and the cosiness inside.

The walls are made of stone, thick at the base and tapering towards the roof, which would than have been rendered with plaster and coulour-washed. the chimney is the main support and one can imagine the great fireplace at its base. The thatch is like a warm blanket, keeping the family snug. Rose Cottage is, traditionally, the dream home of all newly-weds."
