A simple autumn landscape? New York artist Esti Dunow has created a deeper, more mysterious place of memory and light in this 6x9 inch oil painting on paper. Currently represented by the Irving Gallery in Palm Beach, Florida, Esti Dunow has had one person shows in the Bowery Gallery in New York, and in Cracow, Poland. Reviews of her work have appeared in ArtNews, The New Criterion, and American Artist. Dunow is also an art historian who is recognized as an expert on the artist, Chaim Soutine. She co-authored the Chaim Soutine Catalogue Raisonne (Taschen, 1993) and has co-curated or worked as a consultant on all the major Soutine exhibitions in this country and abroad over the past decades.
