Diane Arvanites artistic works are filled with poetry and paradox. Although inclined to describe herself as a "painter," she is constantly experimenting with the third dimension, in creating works which embrace aspects of painting, drawing, sculpture, and assemblage. Diane received her MFA from the University of Massachusetts. Her works are part of private and public collections including the City of Orlando and the University of Central Florida. She has exhibited in various galleries and institutions across the United States. During the summer of 2006 she was interim ArtsReach Director at the Attleboro Arts Museum. She now lives in Charlotte, North Carolina where she teaches and runs her own studio.
