A violent red violet sky looms over a row of cottages on the Truro shore. The colors of the clouds bathe the cottages in shades of purple.  A blaze of vivid pale orange light shines through the clouds trying to defeat the darkness, illuminating a side of each cottage along the shoreline.

Scott William Simmons is a South Carolina native who has made his home in Rhode Island since 1993. Scott is a member of the Providence Art Club and the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators.  Scott has as Associates degree in Fine Art from BCC and he holds certificates in Scientific Illustration and Painting and Drawing from RISD.  Scott's work can be found in collections around the word.  He is represented by the Sarah Jessica Fine Art Gallery in Provincetown, MA, Picture This in Providence, RI and he does commission pieces for private collectors.
