Description

Bright pink flamingos look over the artist as he awakens from a dream.  Stevan Hall painted this after having a day dream while painting plein air in his back yard (with the flamingos) on a relentlessly hot summer day.  He imagined himself working feverishly through the night and passing out from exhaustion. When he awoke, the plastic pink flamingos on his lawn had congregated around him and were peering down at him with inquisitive gazes.  You wonder where an artist gets his inspiration ... sometimes it's better left unasked! Oh and no flamingos were harmed in the production of this painting.

20" X 18.5" Oil on Panel
