Two red and black tugboats,side-by-side, sit undisturbed, tied to the dock. waiting for their next assignments. A lighthouse in the distance also waits for the day to end to begin its work.

Allan Halladay (1906-1999) was a long time member of the Rhode Island Watercolor Society and the Providence Art Club.  He was a past president of the Providence Art Club and served on the Board of Managers for many years.  Allan was a cartoonist for the Providence Journal and also did courtroom illustrations for the Journal.  He worked as a commercial artist for his own company and as a free lance artist
