Description

The black image of a woman's face peering to the right with a peculiar stare opposite a black bird; possibly reminiscent of Edgar Allen Poe's 'The Raven'. Swashes of color in the background lend a quality of uncertainty and mystery to the piece.

16" X 20" Monoprint

Beverly Carreiro is an active member and past president of the Monotype Guild of New England. She is a printmaker who works primarily in monotypes, etchings and lithography. A graduate of Bridgewater State College with a BA in Fine Arts, she has taken additional courses at Mass College of Art and the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. She has exhibited her work regionally and nationally. Beverly's own studio, Weir Printing, is located at 120 Ingell Street, Taunton, MA.
