Description

This beautiful black and white photo of a twisted black vase creates an image that has been compared to the scale of a butterfly's wing.  There is a flourish of white against a glossy black background that becomes the twisted edge of the vase.

Laurie Lizotte is a Senior Medical Photographer and Graphic Designer for Radiology Educational Media Services in the Department of Radiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Laurie is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology's,  BioMedical Photographic Communications Program. She graduated from Rhode Island School of Design's Computer Graphics Print Production Certificate Program in 2005. Laurie is an active member of the BioCommunications Association as well as Chairperson of the BioCommunications Association's New England Chapter. She is also an active member of CIPNE (Commercial Industrial Photographers of New England and NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professionals) where she gains skills from the wide variety of local and national professionals in the fields of Photography and Graphic Design. Laurie's areas of expertise are in Photography and Graphic Design. Her personal work is created using conventional photographic equipment. Close-up and macro photography are her specialty, which she enjoys entering into competition on the local and national level.
