A richly patterned abstract, the background blues compliment a flourish of bold orange that dances across this piece by Stephanie Roberts.  Repeated shapes bring cohesion to the piece and the orange that brought you into the piece, acts to entice you to look at the subdued shapes and colors that surround it and contrast with it.

Stephanie Roberts earned a BFA in painting from Rhode Island School of Design in 1985. Stephanie creates, intuitively exploring the relationship between abstraction and patterned imagery.  Experimentation and integration of all the materials are essential to the final piece. Stephanie was featured at The Schoolhouse Gallery in Provincetown, and will be showing in April 2008 at the Krause Gallery in Providence, R.I.  Her work is in many private and corporate collections and is currently represented by the Schoolhouse Gallery in Provincetown, Ma.
