These subscriptions includes four concerts.

The Portland String Quartet has been performing, teaching and recording with its founding members since l969. In 1986, they were proclaimed "Maine treasures" and awarded Honory Doctor of Music degrees at Colby College where they served as Artists in Residence for 19 years. The quartet now serves as Artists in Residence at LaSalle University in Philadelphia.
