There are places where man cannot compete with nature -- except in an ultimate individual abstraction. My paintings are my silent wings that let me fly, to transmit my life with canvas and color; never forgetting, with a great gratitude, the source from which all beauty and wonder come.
I am devoted to being as honest and courageous as I can be as a person and as an artist. My intention is to reveal truths around the relevance of love, forgiveness, and embracing the impermanence and beauty of it. I survived a life altering car accident in 1989, losing a career as a dentist and was gifted the opportunity to return to what it is I truly am. I have been seriously painting and sculpting since 1995 and have been fortunate enough to have had 25 group and solo exhibitions. Along the way I have established patrons internationally and have received several prestigious awards. Most recently, an Award of Excellence at the state level in "California Works Show" at the State Fair in Sacramento, and an invitation to the 7th Biennale Internazionale Dell'Arte Contemporanea in Florence, Italy.
I am living my dream. Today my husband, Edmund Ian Grant (also an artist), and I live in our "work in progress" Villa Spankadellic. It is a majestic idyllic property nestled in Soda Canyon. Our property is a gallery -- work space we share with friends and patrons.
