Lana De Cassanth was born in 1965 in San Francisco to Ukrainian/Armenian immigrants and grew up in Burlingame, California. She was fortunate to travel to Italy with her family at the age of 13 and be exposed to the extraordinary Art Collections of the Masters at an early age. She began studying oil painting as a teen and later attended the Academy of Art College. She is a member of the Napa Valley Arts Council and has donated her time and art to several charitable events. Her stylized way of painting conveys surrealism and several pieces reflect the figure in a sensual, ethereal nature. Lana has lived in Napa Valley with her husband since 1990 and has two children. They are currently collaborating on their all time "Art Project" of building their new home.
