Antique Prints. Pair of mid-19C Japanese woodblock prints are left and right panels of chuban diptych from Kabuki play "The Clash of the Scabbards" (sayaate). Right panel depicts actor Danjuro VII as Fuwa Bansaemon. Left panel depicts unnamed actor as Nagoya Sanzaguro. Blue-gray, terra cotta and light tan predominate. Ivory mat and black step frame with red underlayment donated by Winchester Art & Frame. Each print stamped top right. 18 x 23 inches.
