Maximilian Buschman earned his B.A. in Film and Digital Arts from California State University, Long Beach, in 2003. Awards he has received include first place in the New Beginnings Juried Exhibition and third place in the Habitation Juried Exhibition. Originally interested in becoming a filmmaker, he first painted as a hobby. He then realized his true passion for painting in January 2006 and has been pursuing it as a career since. His use of mixed media highlights his view of the existing chaos in the world and allows him to seek freedom from what he perceives as a constraining world. Buschman has been included in various group exhibitions, at galleries such as the Eco-Logical Art Gallery in Los Angeles and the Satsuma Gallery in North Hollywood.
