Michelle Weinstein attended Maine College of Art from 1999 to 2002 and earned her B.F.A. In her drawings, she attempts to apprehend and create a different state of consciousness, and aims to have her audience re-experience them “as a trip through delight.” Among the awards and honors she has received are the Maine College of Art Talent Award, a fellowship with Jentel Artist’s Residency in Banner, Wyoming, and an Artist’s Grant from Vermont Studio School. Weinstein has been exhibiting since 2002, and had her first solo exhibition in 2007 at Unitard in Los Angeles, where she now lives.
