Mark Ruwedel, who teaches photography at California State University, Long Beach, works with large format cameras and is known as a master photographic printer. Specializing in the history and current practice of landscape photography, Ruwedel has won major awards from the Canada Council for the Arts and has exhibited and published extensively. Ruwedel’s work is included in the collections of the J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles; Los Angeles County Museum of Art; National Gallery of Australia, National Gallery of Canada; Metropolitan Museum, New York; San Francisco Museum of Contemporary Art; FNAC, Paris; and the Library of Congress.
