Description

Priceless one of a kind keepsake. Beautiful Seasons of the Year Quilt as depicted by Mrs. Rouse's students using their fingers and fingerprints to create the trees and the leaves that portray the season of their choice.  Their artwork was then sewed together in a design incorporating colorful pinwheels and blue grids that match the MCS logo and symbolize the sky.  The talent and skill required to create such a piece involves attention to detail, mastery of geometry and good eye for design. Many thanks to the quilting craftsperson, Peter Stephan, who is also the proud father of an MCS alum.

Special Instructions

Peter Stephen completed the front part of the quilt (90%) and Marina Baudoin of Fireside Quilting and Fiberarts (Silver Spring, Maryland) completed the final 10% attaching the front piece to the back layers with a long-arm quilting machine.  Many thanks to Marina as well for her skill to complete this quilt beautifully and professionally!
