Mrs. Mill's Class Quilt

Description
This beautiful, one-of-a-kind, keepsake quilt representing the work of Mrs. Mills' class depicts "flowers in a meadow." The children used their fingers and fingerprints to create the petals, leaves, stems to portray the flower of their choice. The pictures were then sewed together in a design incorporating colorful fabric squares in the form of flower and a bright yellow grid to complement all of the flowers.
Many thanks to the quilting craftsperson, one of our very own alumnae dads, Peter Stephan. Peter and his wife Susan Fearnow continue to help and inspire MCS in many ways. We thank them so much.
Special Instructions
Many thanks also goes out to our skilled long-arm quilter, Marina Baudoin of Fireside Quilting and Fiberarts (Silver Spring, MD) for her work to finish the last 10% of the quilt - attaching the front piece, that Peter carefully designed and stitched together, to the back.
