Description

An original watercolor painting (14"x11") of the “old country store” at Frying Pan Park by local accomplished artist, Lorrie Herman.  Lorrie has a wonderful relaxed style, and yet she captures light as if it is reflecting within the picture at just the right moment. Lorrie has kindly donated this beautifully watercolor painting of a friendly and familiar sight to the MCS Online Auction hoping to help promote our school, our kids, education and the arts.  It is finished impressively in subtle gold frame and is ready to hang in your home.

"This a plein air painting of the Country Store at Frying Pan Park in Herndon, Virginia. I just loved the way the light and shadows were hitting the roof and building that afternoon. The children playing on the adjacent playground were so curious about what I was painting. They kept coming over and looking as they ran around. What a lovely experience! ----Lorrie Herman"
