Accents are a natural and beautiful part of spoken language. They reflect the unique characteristics and background of each person. An assessment includes speech recordings and transcriptions using the International Phonetic Alphabet. Results will highlight the differences between your speech and the Standard American English. The assessment will target some of the following features: * vowels * consonants * syllable stress * word stress * sentence focus * phrasing * linking * intonation Recommendations for improving clarity will be included with the assessment.
Caryl Benning, M.A., C.C.C., is a licensed speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of experience in business, education and healthcare.
