Description
Steven Rice of Flowing Touch Bodywork invites you to experience the freedom and release of bodywork done in a heated swimming pool. The weightless support and soft resistance of the warm water allows your body and mind to deeply relax and makes new physical and emotional release possible.
The session is either in Watsu, with nurturing and tranquil movements and stretches, or Waterdance to explore flowing underwater movement from playful to profound. Aquatic bodywork is meditative, therapeutic, improves range of motion, circulation, breath, and the mind/body connection. Everyone is able to benefit from bodywork in some fashion.
Steven's approach to bodywork combines strength with lightness, and stillness with motion. His extensive training and practice, together with compassion, will make your session clinically effective, and at same time relaxing and joyful. For over a year he studied, worked, and lived at the School of Shiatsu and Massage, also known as the Watsu Center, at Harbin Hot Springs. There he studied aquatic bodywork and at the same land-based massage. The way we move in the water has influenced his work on land, and his knowledge of traditional massage enhances his water work.
Steven has over 1200 hours of state-approved training in bodywork, and has certificates as an Advanced Bodywork Therapist, Watsu Practitioner, and Waterdance Practitioner.
