From noted Santa Monica born and raised artist Elizabeth Comay's "No Pain No Gain?" woman series, a provocative and thoughtful 16"x16" mixed media carved wax painting. Currently represented by Gallery 825 on La Cienega, Comay works with mixed media and leans towards natural, organic materials. The theme is along the lines of: why do women do things like wear high heels, when it hurts them physically? Does the gain really outweigh the pain?
